Who are the Seeway Education Trust

Seeway Trust was set up in 1997 and became involved with a Children’s home in Ghana in 2000. Since the then the Trust has been involved with building two children’s homes and three schools. The first two schools have been given to local organizations to run and the third will continue to be supported through the Trust.

The history of the latest school now called The Seeway Academy is that in 2010 whilst visiting a remote village in the Central Region of Ghana one of the Trustees became aware that the children did not attend school regularly, because of the distance that they had to walk. Following discussions with the local Chief who kindly gave the land for a school to be built, Seeway Trust and Rural Outreach Foundation started to build an educational facility in that area. The school is now fully opened.
